lynnwords is planning an upstairs/downstairs indoor garage sale
This Summer I held my planned upstairs/downstairs indoor garage sale. It worked out really well. People were respectful and were willing to tromp upstairs!

How to freecycle"Do your part to save the world!"
How I did it: Freecycle is a wonderful organization which allows you to give things away that you would otherwise throw away and would end up in landfills. You can also find things that other people are getting rid of that you might want or need. Lessons & tips: Don't procrastinate like I did. If this interests you then join now. Resources: Use this link http://www.freecycle.org/ to find freecycle groups in your area. |

How I did it: thought I'd update this post:was time of year to dig up bulbs from the garden, and posted them on OFFER to the group. Sought out extra things to list.Giving these away, I've had the bonus to make new friend. Also, received a microwave via local network, and now learning to use it after years without by choice (learn something new everyday :) Read how I did it…

How I did it: First I joined my local freecycle group through yahoo groups. Then I learned the rules for posting free items. Then I posted items I wanted to give away for free at http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/AshlandORFreecycleI responded to phone calls and people came to take away what I did not want or need any more. MusesFigment with enough operations I can live forever and look good too.
I was going to Freecycle my George Forman Lean Grilling Machine because I just didn’t like cooking burgers in it. Too messy. But then I thought I wonder if I could make my own panini sandwiches and it works great. So while I didn’t Freecycle I did recycle.

I gave away all the magazines cluttering my house. Now if I could only stop buying magazines.
bethieb enjoying the sunshine!
It seems as if I’ve always got stuff that we don’t use/need anymore, but it’s too good to throw out. I even gave away an antique dining table to a woman who was thrilled with it. Often it’s something that Goodwill probably wouldn’t be able to sell, like pots for starting seeds, but someone has been able to use it. I’ve even given away cuttings from our plants which would have gone in the compost but instead are growing somewhere else. I’ve received a lot of nice things from other members. I mostly ask for books to release through BookCrossing.
