There was an honors assembly at school today. In an attempt to look pretty, I wore 3/4 inch ‘f.ck me’ heels. And they hurt like hell. I could barely walk and now my feet are in pain like no tomorrow.

How I did it: cheap shoes, low expectations, lots of wine...it was a fluke really and even after one good experience I haven't dared try again. I'd rather have a good night to be honest, and besides I look cute in ballet flats! Read how I did it…
Car is knocking out her 43Things with great alacrity.
How I did it: ahhhhh, how i remember my first pair of heels. i was 12/13. they were navy blue and WAY 80's looking appropriate as it was 1988. i would walk all over the house in them getting my walk just so.i was very short until my late teens/early 20's when i suddenly took off with quite a growth spirt. by then the habit was set. M And life goes on
How I did it: Shoulders back, lead with your hips, small steps, and make sure you have the right size. And i've learned not to care about how tall they make me (yeah, I have to write MORE) I'm already 5' 9'' but I do want to wear high heels sometimes. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I think I pretty much got this covered. At first it feels like: "Oh I probably look like an idiot right now,..." But no...! It might FEEL strange, but it doesn't LOOK strange. It's all just in your head. Try walking towards a mirror, you'll see it looks quite allright ;-) Read how I did it…
danygtz Day 1- July 9 - New Me
How I did it: My boyfriend had this huge thing on high heels. And he always told me that my legs would look better if I wear high heels. So, I did it! I bought my first pair that was blank and almost wore them out. But I had to. I started buying high heels a lot, and instead of going for ballerina shoes, I just decided to buy some more. dorktastic is going to write in her journal for the first time
I went to a party last night wearing my heels. They were comfortable for about 3 blocks. Now I have a blister on one of my toes. I kept the wobbling to a minimum, so I didn’t look like a drunk
a friend and I finally went shopping for our beginner heels. I’ve only worn heels once – and that was for a ball, so I was waltzing and foxtrotting about in those mothers as well – but I can’t see myself gracefully walking in heels now. I’m sure I could do disgraceful, but that’s not what I’m aiming for.
Ever since we decided to learn how to walk in heels, I’ve said that I want to buy affordable ones to begin with but I also wanted something wearable and not ugly. I’ve now got a very cute pair of sensible kitten heels and a pair with a wedged style heel to practice prancing about in for now. Have I worn them beyond trying them on? No, but hey, this is the first step (!) right?
Stephie85 Today is a new day. :)
I want to learn to do this before the Graduation ball next year. I’ve got between 7 and 9 months (I can’t remember when it is exactly.) Plenty of time I think. :)
I’ve always been fat so it’s hard for my feet not to hurt after 2 hours, sometimes even less.
I’m working on loosing weight and hopefully I’ll learn how to walk properly in heels when I get to a healthy weight. =)
And this is a supremely important goal to me because not only is it about shoes, it’s about being okay with my height and being confident. So, I’m going to buy some fabulous shoes and get started!
in my high heeled sandals yesterday, but that’s the first time in months. Got to try harder!
Lolly just is.
I’m mastered wedges. I’ve been out a few times lately and worn platform wedges instead of heels and so far I can dance and walk in them and did so for 9 hours last week but the next day I was in serious pain. I think I’ll carry on with the wedges until I a) stop hurting so much the next day and b) find a pair of heels that I like.
Okay, I got some wedges from Naturalizer and I love them. Whenever I wear them I feel very stable and can get some good practice for walking in heels. I’m starting to think I should switch to only Naturalizer because they’re so comfy you don’t even think about the heel.
messaahhhh is supposed to be working!
Well….I work in an office environment, so I have to dress up a little. I was wearing flats all of the time, never really wore heels. Recently they got on my case about dressing nicer. So I went on a shoe shopping spree with my gay guy friend and ended up buying 6 pairs, all at least 5in. I just wore them everywhere…I got the hang of it. The trick is putting your weight on the pads of your feet, or the middle of your foot. Don’t be scared, be confident. Listening to Britney Spears helped me with confidence…no joke.
