I certainly will never be done trying to accomplish this goal. But for now, I will just smile that I have made some headway.

I forget sometimes that attempting this goal not only makes me feel better, it makes people around me feel better, too. Taking yourself out of self-centered concentration opens our hearts and spirits in a way that we feel accomplished and complete. For instance, this sememseter I have been attempting to devote myself to the individual needs of my 200 students. Impossible? Perhaps to reach each one, but I am trying my best to at least reach the ones I can through patience and understanding. Give them a break, listen to their heartache, be a part of their lives!
