Had a plan, met with some people, decided it was completely feasible. I think things will fall into place, but not for another year or so. Was a little disappointed at first, but a year will pass by quickly and besides, it’s better to do something right the first time than to rush in because of feeling impatient and then have it not work out.

A complex process that will likely require significant guidance. But a quick overnight flight from New York and you’ll wake up at home.
Been thinking about the active steps to take to achieve this goal. I just need to wait; one, for the dollar to rise again – would be stupid to buy now unless by some miracle I suddenly found 200 grand I had nothing better to do with, and two, for the equity in my current home to rise enough to cash out and have a substantial downpayment, like 50% or so. Won’t be long, in this market. But then again, there will always be apartments to buy in Paris. :) It’s not like I’m in a rush, and it’s not like the opportunity will vanish if I don’t act now.
Something small, a place just for me that I don’t have to share with anyone & can go to when I need to be alone and feel anonymous. A female version of the “man-cave”.
Seriously. I would buy it as an investment, rent it out until it more or less pays for itself, then live in it or use it as a vacation home.
