How to work for Disney
How I did it: Ever since I came to Disneyland for the first time in 7th grade with my parents, I've always admired the people who were working there. I thought to myself that someday I would want to work at Disneyland too. Seven years later, I found a website that gave me the perfect opportunity to work for Disney. I joined the Disney College program in Disneyland, CA and now here I am on the first internship of my life. Sadly, my program is coming to an end soon on Jan. 3rd. It was one of the best and hardest 8 months of my life considering I was 8 hours away from all my friends and family and that I was on my own for the very first time.
Lessons & tips: The first 2 weeks of the program was the hardest because I was homesick ALL the time and I had to get accustomed to the big city since I was from a small town. Self-determination is the biggest thing you will need because people will bring you down by telling you bad things about Disney. Stick to what you believe in and don't let them get to you. 200 students got in but before the program ended, at least 50 or more students quit the program. I admit I was so close to quitting one time but I kept pushing myself and when I did, I realized that it wasn't so bad. Treat Disney as a real job or even more, treat it as a potential career and you'll be fine. If you're living in housing, be prepared to be broke most of the time. Budget your money wisely because trust me, you will be short on a $636 or sometimes a 795 dollars rent.

I have dreamed about working at Disney ever since I was a kid…Now at 18 years old, I am starting to fulfill that dream. I am now studying the history of art in France, my goal is to get in a prestigious french art school in a few years, why don’t i do it next year? because i have to be very well prepared for their entry exam… This disney college program is exactly what i need to experience but the problem is that it’s in California, i don’t know how i’m going to manage that anyway here is a few things u need to know about me, if anyone has any sorts of suggestions, or more information on this college program as in what exactly do you do or how to actually succeed at finding a job or getting into the disney world i would really appreciate it… please contacting me!
I’ve never been to Disney World (>Gasp!<) but Disney animation has always amazed me and it’s always been a dream of mine to do cartooning. Even though the old ways of cartooning hardly exist (as in drawing every scene out frame by frame) I still want to fulfill that dream I’ve had since I was little. How am I going to do it? I’m applying for the Disney College Program this February, and then for a Graphic Design intern there afterwards. Yay Disney! There’s a reason why this is first on my list.
I’ve decided my profession in life and, with what I want to do, there’s no way I can work for Disney :( kind of a sad day…
I’m looking for a summer job in Disney, I don’t know where to find info but here goes
Loved every minute I worked for the Mouse! Not to mention the freebies and discounts were incredible when you have three small children and live less than an hour from the park!
I worked at the DisneyStore EDC in Leicestershire until I got offered a permanent position elsewhere.
It’s just a company BUT the management and training where exemplary.

I met a guy named Kalvin when I went to Disney World in the 9th grade. He told me that if I ever needed a job to just call him. He did a characature of me. Honestly, I think he was a drug addict…but nonetheless I want to write music for Disney someday.
