‘The annual Wessex invitation Regatta was held on the purpose built 2 lane course at Bryanston School, near Blandford Forum. Spectators lined the banks of the 300m course, picnicing, enjoying the lovely June weather and throwing sticks in the river for Dougal to retrieve in between races.

All our crews raced well, but special mention must go to Sophie who substituted into the J16 1X event as James couldn’t race, and won it, Gemma & Kate who won WJ15 2X and Rachel & Scott who stopped fighting each other for long enough to beat Gabriel & Kate in a close fought final of Mxd J15 2X.’

andd… I came 3rd in my single.
That’s going to be my next goal.. Winning in my single.

Well.. I was coxing a crew and we won :)

To really achieve this goal I want to be actually sculling.

Went to training again today.
Even though i really didn’t want to go.
It wasn’t as bad as last week!
Alot more fun :3
I quite enjoyed it.

In last saturday’s time trials.. I got 6:43 upstream and 4:54 downstream. I was suprised at how high up the list I was going upstream, I was 5th out of around 18.. I was near the middle going downstream. It’s hard to tell if i’ve improved since november. My november times were around the 5:40 mark.. i think.

Also we’ve started training more..
I did a 25 minute piece on the ergo today.

I’ve been sculling since april 2005 and I still haven’t ;p

When I raced in wycliffe big boats 2005 [pictured] we would have won and got the record time but we had a time penalty :|
