finished the re-watch of season one!
i haven’t ever seen the last season, and i accidently watched the last few episodes on bravo so i’ve seen the finale and missed a lot in between the third and fifth seasons. i also read the six feet under page on wikipedia and know how everything happens.
opps!
Taylor is trying to juggle two house payments.
I really loved this HBO series, and watched the episodes as they aired. But now that it’s out on DVD I’d recommend watching it that way instead of on cable in order to keep track of everyone. (Though I have to say this show is easier to follow than some other shows like The Wire.)
bedhead2 Wants Shakespeare, margaritas and Quint Buchholz paintings (and hugs!)
I saw every episode twice! Definitely worth it.
I’ve gotta say that I really loved this show when it first came out. It was talking frankly about something that the mass media ignore and would rather forget. I loved watching most of the characters mature and learn from their experiences. Later on it started to follow the formula that plagues every show that has been around too long. The overarching storyline disappears and is replaced with scenes of social consonance or dissonance who’s only purpose is to keep you watching. Like a trained lab rat. Everyone sleeps with everyone else in turn.
I began to loathe feeling obligated to watch a bunch of characters do something really stupid, find some perspective, and repeat.
Spoiler Warning: In my opinion when you finally find out what happened to Lisa, you’ve gotten pretty much all the value out of this series. They could have done some neat things with Lisa after this point (and they gave hints) but it never got developed. Likewise the aftermath of the carjacking. Could have been a lot mire interesting. But then season 6 ended.
Finally saw the finally, although the last episode felt like any other episode the ending really got to me.
