learn how to paint

My mom was/is a painter, my mother in law was a painter, my grandfather was a painter. I cannot draw worth anything. I think by learning to paint however, I can get out what I have in my mind without having to be so precise, like in sketching or drawing.

I would enjoy learning to paint. The only thing I have ever painted on canvas was a violin for my daughter when she was young. I thought I did a pretty good job for a beginner.

I took a drawing class when I was in college. It was a lot of fun but unfortunately it was also my last semester, so I didn’t get a chance to enhance my skills. I’d like to take a painting class, someday.

I’m pretty sure this is the only goal I havn’t even thought about working on. I don’t know, where can I go to learn how to paint??? part of me wants to take this down while the other part says just to keep it up and keep up for a week and maybe I just might stubble onto a place that teaches how to paint. Hopefully.

Although this is something I really want to do I think I’m going to take it off my list for now. I’ve jsut enrolled in two courses, plus have a full time job and a son, I don’t think this is something I’m going to focus on soon. So….I haven’t given up, just pushed this one further down the list=)

ive started my first oil painting class and I love it!!!

Well, I’ve taken the first step. My mother bought oil paints and canvases yesterday and we started our painting. I find that I am scared to death to make a mistake. Mother keeps reminding me that is why she likes oil painting; if you screw up, start over! I so admire people who have a natural ability for this. But you never know, I am keeping an open mind and maybe I’ll surprise myself.

i never really appreciated art so much until now since im taking beginners art class. it’s so ggggreat!! tho it can be a bit frustrating since it’s time consuming but the more practice the better ill get.^_

It amazes me to see beautiful painting, I want to learn.

Keeping my mind sharp is important. Alzheimers runs in my family….yikes, I don’t want to get it!
