the week got away from me… and i only just realized that i had missed three days already!
tuesday: to help out my previous place of work, i went in to help train a new person there. he was open, receptive and asked the right questions. it felt good to be able to pass down some of things that i had learned there throughout the years.
wednesday: i showed up to a meeting on the wrong day. in the past, this is something that would have been so embarrassing for me. but when it happened on wednesday, it was – oh well, that sucked! it’s incredible to think that only a short little while ago, this sort of thing would have resulted in a ‘bad day’ where i would’ve shamed myself about being stupid, disorganized and inadequate. i was still a bit embarrassed, but it was NOTHING compared to what i would’ve put myself through in the past. i’ve come a long way, baby!
thursday: my new electric scooter tends to only hold about 50% of its charge, but it conked out very close to home so it was only a short walk to get it home! i also had two great sessions with clients which made me feel as though i am doing something i’m meant to do. 2 years ago
yesterday was a holiday in my part of the world. so the entire day was all about chilling. i watched ‘angels & demons’ and a whole bunch of episodes of ‘holmes on homes’ (i have a secret crush on mike holmes!).
i liked just kicking back and not doing anything at all. i think we all need those days! 2 years ago
it was a positively beautiful day here, so my husband and i took our new electric scooters out for a spin. we picked up some snacks along the way and rode down to the lakeshore and stopped by the lake to enjoy our snacks.
it was so great to see so many people out and about enjoying the day. and we felt as though we were apart of how those people were enjoying their day, too. it felt like a wonderfully shared experience. 2 years ago
i went to watch a baseball game with a good friend. the weather was beautiful and while our team lost, it was a great way to spend time with her and we even had dippin’ dots after ward!
i also saw the movie, 2010. it wasn’t the best movie EVER or anything like that, but it was fun. and it’s a shame john cusack doesn’t make more movies. 2 years ago
i had a really awesome time at the keane concert. i had wanted to see them for a long time, so i was very pleased that the show lived up to my expectations.
i also very much enjoyed ingrid michaelson’s performance. i had already liked one of her songs, but i am now curious to know more about her! i love discovering new music. :) 2 years ago
IT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD LITTLE GOAL TO ACHIEVE.
I think I will give this a go. 4 years ago
