Start planning our 2006 "Girls Weekend Away"

We had a fantastic weekend away!

Lots of laughs, lots of tears, lots of wine and good food and…..a lovely swimming pool only a few steps from the front door – doesn’t get much better :)

This was such a positive time for me, to be away with my two closest friends, tell them everything that has been going on in my life, and to get such support and enouragement from them was just wonderful: it gave me the strength to keep looking forward :)

well underway and i’m sooooo looking forward to a weekend away at the end of the month :)

Woohoo, just had a christmas card from my best friend telling me the date of next years “Girls long weekend away”.

My two best friends both live miles from me, one in another state, and we usually have an annual get together to catch up but this year everybody just seemed too busy for us to all agree on a date.

Now the date has been set aside for next year and I am told it is NOT negotiable ::chuckle::.

These weekends are just the best of times; sharing memories, laughter and tears with two people who have been my best friends since we started High School.

We laugh
we drink to good times

we be foolish
we drink to our silly teen years

we flirt
we drink to the men we loved and lost

we compare our sex lives
we drink to the great orgasms we had with men we did not marry

we eat out for breakfast, lunch and dinner
we drink to the wonderful meals we share with family and friends

we talk about our children
we drink to our children who did not have a chance to grow up with us

we reminisce about old friends
we drink to their health and to their memories

we tell stories of our life journey
we drink to those family members who are no longer with us

we talk about how we ended up where we are now
we drink to the men we ended up with (and depending on our relationship status at the time, maybe wish we were no longer with)

By the end of it we all feel so refreshed and ready to face another year without each other; but knowing that if any of us need the others, we will be there straight away!

I am sooooooo looking forward to this! :)
