100 things about me

81. I’m really just too damn stubborn. I find it really hard to take no for an answer. I guess that can be a good thing when I use it for the right reasons. But nooo….
80. Apparently I flirt a lot. I would use the word friendly, instead.
79. I hate mind games, but it seems like you can’t get past that nowadays. Where are you, uncomplicated guy? I thought girls were supposed to be the dramatic ones.
78. Cold and rainy weather is my favorite. Fall is my favorite season because the colors are beautiful and swirly leaves make everything better.

83. I can not stand jealous boyfriends. My roommates bf, who I used to be really good friends with, has suddenly developed a big problem with her going out with me and our other roommate. He seems to think that she’s out there bar-hopping and picking up guys just because she’s out with two single girls. What a pain in the ass.
82. Guys who think too highly of themselves. Who are you? Nobody. You’re not a big shit, and you definitely don’t have the right to threaten anybody with your stupid friends. “Look at this.” (points to his jacket with his fraternity letters on it) “You know what this means? It means fifty brothers who will come kick your ass.” Gah, and the guy he was threatening didn’t even do anything. What a huge asshole. I hope Briana dumps your ass so you and your two loser roommates can blame me for it.

85. I know the people I used to hang out with don’t like me and talk about me behind my back. They took the hard time I was having getting over my ex-boyfriend personally. It doesn’t help that they live with him. I wish I was as big of a bitch as they say I am, because then I wouldn’t care. Or could disrespect them the way they’ve disrespected me. But I guess it’s just a very painful lesson in who you choose as friends.
84. I usually love rainy days. But today, the weather reflects my mood.

100. I can’t decide if I like clutter or not. I like having a lot of interesting things on my desk, but I enjoy sitting at it more when it’s completely cleared off.
99. I have a black cat. I’m not superstitious, but I like to think that whenever she rubs up against me or jumps on my lap, she’s giving me all the good luck she’s stolen from other people when she crosses their path.
98. I spend money when I have it because I think to myself, “I should buy this while I still have money.” It makes no sense at all, I know.
97. I’m a Philosophy major. But I’m going to culinary school after I graduate.
96. I’m torn between wanting to be in a relationship, and staying completely independent. It’s nice to only have to think of myself. Because when I’m in a relationship, I’m completely in.

I’m the kind of girlfriend who surprises you with breakfast, who picks up your shift so you can write a paper (because you were hanging out with your friends and procrastinated) even though it means I work eighteen hours straight (two jobs.) Who leaves love notes on the steamed up mirror while you’re showering. Who is disappointed when you cancel a date to stay home and watch basketball, but will never tell you. Who forgives you for stupid things you do or say, and never brings it up again.
94. That last one depressed me. I want to be in a relationship where the other person is more committed.
93. Taking a year off from school was the best decision I ever made. Going back has been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. So time consuming and frustrating and makes me want to pull my hair out every time someone tells me I need to fill out another form or I have to talk to someone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about. It just gives you a different perspective and a whole new appreciation.
92. I’m jealous of my roommates incredible boobs. It gives me some satisfaction to know that my natural ones look better than her’s before she got them “fixed.”
91. Atticus doesn’t sleep with me anymore because you referred to yourself as his father once. “Does Atticus miss his dad?” No, Atticus, the teddy bear, does not miss you. P.S. You’re a d-bag.
90. I have a lot of anger over my last relationship (as I’m sure you’ve noticed) but it’s better than being really sad about it.
89. I miss my mom and dad, and I really enjoy seeing them, but I could not possibly live with them ever again.
88. My closet is always a mess. I have not mastered the art of either hanging something up or putting it in the dirty hamper when I take it off or after trying it on.
87. I have four different types of shampoo because I get bored easily. I decide which one to use depending on my mood. And my hair always smells amazing.
86. My little brother has a good soul. I hope high school doesn’t corrupt him.

91. I think I might want to try online dating, but I’m scared of it at the same time.
92. I worry that I am not as outgoing as I used to be.
93. I’m signed up to take a guided medatation class tonight, but I don’t know exactly where it meets.
94. I also signed up for a bartending class….same problem.
95. Whenever I get my hair trimmed, it curls up way too much and I can’t control it for the next week or so.
96. Last week, I broke my umbrella in the car door.
97. I stupidly buy stuff to try and help me be more organized, but then that stuff piles up and adds to the chaos.
98. Although I’m getting much better, I still find it difficult to pay my bills on time.
99. I oscillate between periods of spontaneity and periods of inaction. Currently, I’m in the inactive, introspective stage.
100. In the past month or so, I’ve posted trivial facts here to finish up this goal so I can feel a sense of achievement and move on to the harder ones. I want to finish up the current list, but some of them are very long term (i.e. finish my masters and be a foster parent). Also, some are unending (things I wanted to do “everyday” or lifelong goals like being a good person.) At least, I want to complete the ones I can and define the others so I can complete my list and create new ones.

86. I always have late fees at the library, mostly due to not getting around to the library….not because I didn’t read the book in the 2 weeks.
87. I went to the library today, and got 4 books, as usual.
88. As part of my efforts to lose weight, I currently belong to 2 gyms.
89. Neither one of those are chain gyms, because I find franchises unappealing. Wanting to support independence was part of the reason for joining these gyms.
90. I didn’t go to either gym today :0

76. I go through periods where I sleep way too much…not sure why. But this weekend was one of those times.
77. Almost every school year, I end up working with the students after school (for free).
78. I tutor, but I’m never sure what to charge.
79. I like songs that mention Superman….
80. ...or silly love songs that say “little girl”
81. I call people darling often.
82. My fish tank badly needs cleaning right now.
83. Actually, this whole room could use a good cleaning.
84. I only like to clean during daylight hours.

62. Due to my cold, I slept 11 hours last night. And I’m still tired.
63. My favorite sweatshirt is a Coast Guard sweatshirt. I like it because of how it feels, but people always ask me about the boat. I’m wearing it now.
64. I can be clumsy, and sometimes have mysterious bruises that I don’t notice but others ask me about.
65. I LOVE 3 day weekends.
66. Casmir Pulaski day is my favorite Monday off, but I won’t have it off next year 
67. Shoes are my most frequent purchase.
68. Jewelry is my most frequent online purchase.
69. When I was in London on the Underground, I giggled every time they said “Cockfosters” because I’m just that mature.
70. I’m playing around online while doing laundry. Laundry is often my excuse for wasting time on the internet.
71. I don’t use fabric softener because of its toxicity, but I miss the smell.
72. I like Laundromats. Probably for that reason.
73. I also don’t dry clean my clothes…although I wish there were one of those “green” dry cleaners near me.
74. My cat loves to sleep on my freshly cleaned, newly folded clothes. I feel guilty when I move her.
75. I prefer fractions to decimals. So I am 3/4ths done with this goal, not .75 complete.

53. People always recognize me, even if they hadn’t seen me in years.
54. I hang out with my siblings a lot, even though we’re all adults (age wise).
55. I’m not sure I’ll ever be an adult maturity-wise.
56. Thursday is my favorite day of the week, followed by Saturday.
57. I caught a cold after only 1 week back at work :-(
58. I’m always looking for people on here that live near me, but never see them.
59. Despite my good intentions, I haven’t worked out at all this week.
60. Tonight I’m going to a comedy show.

37. I should be in bed now, but I’m not.
39. Before this, I was arranging a display board for my classroom.
40. Today, I went on a desperate hunt for nonvascular plants. Liverwort is never around when you need it.
41. I can’t decide on a song for my ringtone.
42. Half of my white socks are tinted red on the bottom from the African dust. But I wear them anyway.
43. I need to get my hair cut.
44. Lately, I’m really drawn to bird jewelry. Sadly, my sister told me this is trendy.
45. I sing in the grocery store, but I can’t sing well at all.
46. I inherited that trait from my mom and grandma. I like to think I inherited their big-heartedness as well.
47. I know way more than I want to about Warren Buffet.
48. I think I would rather vote for Michelle Obama over her husband.
49. It’s hard for me to “blog” on the internet. I think this site is easier for me because it relates more to my idealized self, which of course I would rather display.
50. I think “no one reads these, anyway.” Except I read other people’s, and there must be someone like me out there.
51. I always want to give more cheers than they allow me.
52. Obviously, I am trying to finish up this goal by posting long lists of silly facts. However, I realize people are made up of many silly, serious, conflicting ideas. I like that about people.
