How to swing dance

How I did it: I started by taking classes in college. The school offered swing lessons (many colleges do!) and it connected me to the swing dancing world. Within about a year and a half, I was teaching swing classes in philadelphia.
Lessons & tips: Don't break your frame! Keep your connection! And dance with as many people as you can!

at least for now. I’m making plans to start salsa lessons once again. I might revisit swing one day…

I sort of swing danced at prom, but I imagine it’s not the same. I’m not good at it because I have NO IDEA what I’m doing.
I think it would be cool to get to the point where I can flip around and be thrown around without being terrifed.

though not swing dance, i did get to go contra dancing a few weeks ago . that was fun and i’ll be going again with these girls when i get back to school on the fall.

My friend Michael showed me the basic steps tonight. We had fun. I’m sure I’ll take lessons in the future. :)
