swing dance

I sort of swing danced at prom, but I imagine it’s not the same. I’m not good at it because I have NO IDEA what I’m doing.

I think it would be cool to get to the point where I can flip around and be thrown around without being terrifed.

Yeah…

though not swing dance, i did get to go contra dancing a few weeks ago . that was fun and i’ll be going again with these girls when i get back to school on the fall.

My friend Michael showed me the basic steps tonight. We had fun. I’m sure I’ll take lessons in the future. :)

I feel like a klutz, but I think I’ll continue this. I’ve gone once, and can’t really do even half the steps.

including joining the Indianapolis Swing Dance club.

IF I’M GOING TO LEARN HOW TO DANCE THIS IS THE WAY I WANT. SWING BABY, THE COOLEST FORM OF DANCE EVER.

The first time I went swing dancing, it was to a local dance studio. My jazz band went as a group, seeing as how we were playing so much swing music. It was SO AWESOME. In just a couple hours I fell absolutely in love with it.

And now I really want to dance some more, but it’s just so hard to find the time to go to lessons at a studio on a regular basis.

There’s a big swing event coming up in October. I’m going to sign up for classes and I’m looking forward to learning some new moves…
