21. I used to be a hoarder. I would keep things because they were sentimental or because one day I might need them. I kept so many things that I had them in boxes and piles and I didn’t even know half of the things I had.. nor did I use them. I watch the show “Hoarders” (on A&E) now and realize how blessed I am that I was able to tackle the issue long before it ever got to that point.

22. I love professional wrestling, and have been a fan since I was eight years old.

23. I collect cat figurines. Because of my past issues with hoarding, I have to be careful not to buy just ANYTHING with a cat on it. I have learned to my purge my collection once in awhile so that I keep my favorites and let the others go to new homes.

Complete list... 8 months ago

This is the list after compiling my different posts into one. Some of the things have begun to change, but most of it is still accurate.

1. I like symmetry

2. I’m a Christian

3. I love to learn

4. I enjoy reading, but probably like writing even more when I’m in the right mood.

5. I like to travel, but don’t get to often.

6. I’ve never been on a date or kissed anyone.

7. I once said that if I ever made a list of things describing me, eclectic would have to be on there.

8. I know a little about just about everything, but only enough to be useful in a few areas.

9. I like being sarcastic.

10. I’ve never had an alcoholic drink.

11. Never had a cigarrette either(or smoked anything)

12. I once had a cop pull a gun on me. He couldn’t even give me a good reason for why he pulled me over. I suspect it’s because I was driving a junky car and he thought I was a drug runner, that corner of the world is known quite well for it’s drugs afterall. Anyway, he said he pulled the gun on me because I looked nervous, but I saw in my rearview mirror that he was pulling the gun before he was even completely out of his car. Besides, it was my first time being pulled over, of course I was nervous.

13. I love fire, and could stare into a campfire for hours on end every night if given the opportunity.

14. I love the night. Perhaps it’s the darkness, perhaps the fact that the normal people have all gone to bed, but I think a lot more clearly at night. This probably has a bit to do with the campfire thing too.

15. I wear a size 15 shoe.

16. WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) I generally try to be a pretty straight forward guy.

17. I dress for comfort. I’ve never been a fan of dressing up to impress people that care even less about me than I don’t about them.

18. Being blunt is one of my many talents. I normally end up in trouble when I try to sugar coat things. I think I’m just a poor judge of what people want to hear, and I’m normally better off(though people still get mad) if I just stick with what I think they need to hear – no subar coating.

19. Don’t think that means I don’t like a good laugh. My sense of humor will either make it really hard to stay msd at me or in rare cases it makes certain people even madder.

20. I’ve always felt that if you can dish it out, you have to be able to take it. So if I see someone making jokes about someone else, I normally try to turn the tables on them. That also means I’m fair game.

21. Eternally curious- I love to learn about pretty much anything and everything.

22. I’m about 6’4” tall.

23. I generally try to avoid violence, but there is only so far I’ll let you push me. I’ll warn you at least once(normally more) but after that, you’d better back off.

24. I have very few fears. I’m not sure why, but I’d have to guess that it’s because I’ve been through enough stuff that I figure I can make it through anything in life and I certainly have nothing to fear in death.

25. I like making lists. I make lists for lots of stuff even when I know I won’t use them… oddly enough, I never use shopping lists and that’s the one thing I normally don’t even makelists for.

26. My eyes are hyper-sensative to bright lights. It is dangerous for me to drive much at night because of that.

27. Due to brain damage, Iremember little of my childhood, and still sometimes have a problem committing things to memory.

28. I’ve been through things most people will (thankfully) never have to deal with, but these things have given me an understanding that allows me to help others. So even though it was hard to deal with at the time, I’m now thankful for my trials.

29. A psychologist once told me he would have easily believed I was 35 if he hadn’t been looking at me… lol

30. My favorite color is a deep shade of red.

31. Until March ‘07, I had never broken a bone. In March, a group of students from Moody Bible Institute “kidnapped” me(i.e. paid for me to go to Chicago with them and bought me a train ticket back) and while I was in Chicago, I fell down some stairs and broke a bone in my foot close to the pinky toe.

32. I seem to heal really fast generally.

33. I have a high tolerance for pain killers. Once when I went to the dentist for a filling, they gave me 4 shots to numb it(normally they just give 1), and I could still feel a lot of what they were doing, but I was getting frustrated so I just let them go ahead and do it.

34. I’ve been in 3 car wrecks that I can think of. I wasn’t driving in any of them. The driver I was with wasn’t at fault in any of them. All of them had a potential to be a LOT worse than they were. (I’ll never forget seeing a cow rolling up the hood and literally flying past my passenger side window).

35. Someone was telling me the other day about all the things they would do if they won the lottery. I was trying to think, and other than maybe getting a small(I hardly use most of my apartment as it is) house rather than my apartment, and setting some back so that I could make sure my bills and food were paid for, there’s not a whole lot I would do for myself. It would obviously help with my business launching goal, but that business would probably end up being not for profit or all the profits would go towards helping fund missionaries and other worthy causes. That realization kind of surprised me, because there was a time not too long ago that I would have bought a big house(underground?) and lots of pointless things that I’d probably never use and all the latest everything…

Wow, that one ended up pretty long lol

36. I love making people think about things, especially if I can shine a new light on something they thought they understood.

37. For about 3 1/2 years, the bones in my knee didn’t line up right.

38. I’ve never been off this continent(North America)

39. I’ve only been out of the country(USA) once, and that was when I was in North Dakota for about a week, so we drove like 30 miles into Canada just to say we’d been there.

40. I once hit someone(3-4 times) with the paddle end of a canoe paddle.

41) I don’t get bored easily when I’m by myself, I can normally stay occupied by my own daydreams for hours if there is nothing else to do.

42) I smile pretty much all the time, even when I’m in pain. I think that is my dad’s fault. When I was little and I was crying he used to always try to make me laugh, so I think I’ve been conditioned to smile really big when something hurts(the size of the smile may be proportional to the size of the pain, not sure lol).

43) I have a high tolerance for pain. I think that’s because I have had a lot of serious injuries and got used to having pain all day everyday, so now things that really hurt most people don’t really hurt all that much simply because I’m used to pain.

44) I took piano lessons for a while when I was in elementary school. I really only have very vague memories of that, but when I had to take a semester of music in high school, and they taught us about piano, it came back to me really fast. It felt pretty good too, because when the teacher came around to listen to each of us she said she could tell I’d had lessons before. That was on the first day and after that she basically just set me off by myself to do whatever I wanted because she didn’t think I’d be challenged with the stuff they were doing.

45) I hate talking on the phone. I don’t know why, it doesn’t really make sense. I’ll talk to someone online or face to face, but I don’t like talking on the phone. I’ve gotten to where I will do it if I need to, but I doubt if I’ll ever get to the point where it doesn’t bother me.

46) I didn’t really realize it until earlier this week when it happened to me, but it bugs me when people say stuff like “this is the worst day of my life” and then proceed to tell me all of the things that have gone wrong. Especially when most of those things going wrong consist of “I didn’t get to take a shower this morning” or “My friends are going out tonight, but I don’t have any money.” Seriously, if those are the worst problems you’ve ever faced in your life, get over it and give me a call when you’ve got a loved one in the hospital or something.

47) I’m allergic to peas. They make the inside of my throat swell up and get all itchy. For a long time, my parents thought I was just trying to get out of eating peas, but sometimes theres things that I really like but can’t eat because it has peas in it.

48) I skipped my Junior year of High School.

49) I’ve never seen the point in buying something(clothes, food, whatever) just for a brand name. Sure, if that brand provides better quality it can be worth it, but if two brands provide the same quality product, I’m going to go with the cheap on over the popular one any day.

50) I feel like I’m running out of things to say and I’m only halfway done. I’m sure I’ll come up with something though, I always do.

51) I was named after my great grandfather on my dad’s side, and got my middle name from my grandfather on my mother’s side.

52) I like to eat

53) I run the audio/video stuff at church

54) I learned to drive a manual transmission after buying my current car(which has a manual transmission).

55) I like figuring out how things work

56) I really like music

57) This Summer I began teaching myself to play guitar, and have put a lot of time into it since then.

58) I can juggle

59) I like hiking through the woods

75)I went the entire year of 2008 without cutting my hair(well, there’s still 5 hours left in the year, but unless someone knocks me out and cuts my hair I think this is safe)... which is new to me because most of my life I’ve had short hair.

76)I’ve never ridden on a motorcycle, but I think it would be fun

77)I like apple cider

78)I once held a baby alligator

79)I have milked a goat

80)Subtlety has never been my forte

85)I eat a lot of pizza

88)My hands and feet sweat quite a bit more than normal… as such I very rarely go barefoot(the socks help wick away the sweat)

89)I hate waking up in the morning

96)I like tea(both hot and cold)

97)This past Christmas season, I bought a bunch of those ball shaped Coca-Cola bottles so I could refill them and use them for juggling…

99)I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

100)It took me nearly 2 years… but I finally finished this list.

I'm very spiritual 10 months ago

...if I never realized this about myself (and I have), I am told on a regular basis. It’s a constant journey, but I always feel myself connected with SomeThing… even when I don’t feel connected in so many other ways.
