I once knitted a pair of sleeveless gloves. Ugly as all get out, but I did it!
Now I can’t even remember how to get the yarn around the needle… :’(
How to learn to knit again

How I did it: in GCSE textiles we had to knit at least a small square, but i wanted to go further, so i took it home and learnt it...........(my friend helped me though!!!!!!!!!)
Lessons & tips: don't use a book or the internet, ask someone who knows how to do it!!!!!!!!11

I’m giving up on this for now. It’s on hold till the fall. There are more fun things to do like sew!

They taught me once

I learned in my church’s young women’s program a looong time ago. But I’m ready to learn for real and get a little beyond “knit one, purl two.”
What’s funny – my daughter got a knitting nellie for her birthday, and both my husband and I – him more than me!—have played with it. It’s cool!
But needles are so easy to tuck in a bag when you’re going somewhere. The nellie’s kinda big and round.
The adult women’s organization at church has a “needle night out” which has just started as part of a new program (or a change in an old one). It’s open, and meets at one woman’s home or another. I think next month I’ll go and let someone teach me how to knit again.
