surf in France

I have made it a goal for myself to surf off the coast of France. This is my reward for working hard on being clean and sober, becoming a journeyman welder, graduating college. This is for me…....... as selfish as that sounds

I dropped in on some waves September, 2004, at the various breaks in Biarritz. I stayed at the youth hostel there and rented a board (epoxy! bleh!), and the waves were great. In the time I was there, I saw double-overhead to ankle-biters and if the shape was wrong at one jetty, just walk 200 yards over to the next jetty and you’ll be sure to find something different. I only surfed three mornings, so this time I’d like to do it right: bring my board, rent a car, and maybe drive across to Spain. Red wine, cheese, paella, and waves.
