I owed the Portland Public Library ten dollars. Paid that yesterday. That’s one account in the clear.

Credit card – only $600 to pay on it, and I would like to have it done by August 31st. Will require extra payments to card, but have been a bit naughty with my spending lately so I really need to pull the reigns in!

So I have been on the DMP for about 4 months now and have seen some progress! It’s very slow going but I see the total of my debt going down. And it’s almost rewarding to say that I don’t need my credit cards anymore.
I still am getting used to budgeting my money and once in a while get into a little trouble but I have a supportive family that helps me out whenever I need it. Thank GOD!

So I have recently graduated college and needless to say.. I have debt. I really don’t think it’s right for an 18 year old, living on our parents dime, should be able to have a credit card. But alas, I got one.
Long story short I am now 23 years old and a little over 20 thousand dollars in debt. And right out of college I can’t say I have the best paying job in the world.
So I’ve enrolled in a Debt Management Plan (DMP) program that helps me reduce my interest rates and lower my monthly payment to help me manage. In about 5 years I should be debt free!!! But the DMP is only the beginning, I have to learn not to over spend and budget my money so this will never happen again!
EEK!
