I went to London and met a Polish guy, who was on his way to Asia. For three weeks he would be out in the far east, Malaysia, China etc. He said he found a cheap ticket and took the opportunity with both hands even if it meant going on his own. I would love to tour Asia.

How I did it: As simple getting off your arse and making it happen. It's not expensive; there's just alot of paperwork! It's just a case of deciding where you want to go, and booking your tickets. Everything else is minor, and will fall into place! Read how I did it…

How I did it: You have to quit making excuses and dependencies... I will do it in the summer... I will do it when I am in better shape... When I have more money... When the kids grow up... They are all never ending excuses, and the more you make the more you will come to make them. Just start small and go from there. Set a small goal, I am going to visit a particular place (not too far away) then make a date and go. It really helps for us to get out of… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I travelled for the first time from Ontario, Canada to South Carolina, US... and I did it alone! I took the greyhound bus, which is a very cheap way to get there (~1300 miles, only $140). It was a fairly long trip, with having 5 bus transfers each way, making the total trip for one way 1 day 16 hours. Passed through many states, I'd say this is a really good first start to me travelling abroad! I don't make that much money, so even accomp… Read how I did it…

hislilbearrr feels like thrift-store hunting, but shouldn't be spending money
When I was younger, my parents made sure that we went on at least one trip every year. And that one trip was somewhere new. In addition to that, we would go and visit family. When I graduated from high school, all those fun trips disappeared. We still visit family, but there isn’t that epic sense of exploration that comes with going somewhere new.
My ultimate goal isn’t to do anything super-expensive (although, I’ll admit that I’m dying to go explore Europe again), but to get out of the house, and experience the world around us. Find interesting towns nearby, and start making day trips to start expanding our horizons. :)

Yesterday I got my enhanced ID which allows me to travel (by land and water) from the US to Canada or Mexico. Because I’m in Washington I’m probably going to Canada next. I haven’t even had a proper ID for the last two years. it was nice to get more organized and get things done. I’m excited! I love to travel. I’m thinking road trip :) I’ve also started a savings account that automatically debits $75 a month. Hopefully these baby steps will help me get out more .
Jassi75 will run into the spring soon
