Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

LadyBflyOne on one

I have really made an adjustment to make sure I take time out for each one of my girls. My eldest and I go to the gym and she can talk forever about friend issues. My middle child and I go on walks and same with my youngest. Sometimes altogether and sometimes just us. It’s always great to have one on one talks and just enjoy the moments. 1 day ago

LadyBflyAdded more daughters

Since I posted this (which was a long time ago) I have added more daughters to my life. I am now a mother of three beautiful girls. I still think this is a valid requirement as my daughters always need my time. I do my best to spend time with each one individually and altogether. Love my girls!! 3 months ago

Thanks to the longer evenings, we now have our walks again. We explore the whole yard, she brings me things she has found, and although she cant talk plain yet, she tells me all about them. Last night she fell asleep while I rubbed her little tootsie’s, those feet have taken a million steps. Its great to have this time together. 2 years ago

Working full time means the people who watch my daughter, are the one enjoying her. I want to be able to spend more time with her but I want it to be quality time, not me standing at a stove with her at my feet. I want to be the one saying, you wont believe what she did today, not the one hearing about it. 2 years ago

SuperShyGalyesterday was ok

I’m usually so tired and weak and overwhelmed by life in general, and felt like I wasn’t giving my 3 year old daughter enough time and attention as I should. Yesterday I played with her more and enjoyed her. I’m planing for today to go well too. She’s asking to play now. We will start by cleaning the house together making a game out of it. 2 years ago
