brenmarie23 is blissfully happy
since my break up last april i have been spending nearly everyday with my daughter and i can honestly say that i have learned so much about her!!! she is so incredibly smart, she makes me proud to be her mommy =-D
How I did it: I asked my management if I could work 6 hours a week from home so I could get my daughter from nusery school at 3pm on M-W-F. Now, we go to the park after her school or to the library and I feel like I get quality time with her that does not have to be sandwiched into the weekend. She seems happier and I know that I am.
Lessons & tips: Prioritize work so you can be more free on the afternoons you know you need to leave early

lajollakat needs to do homework!
Since I have written this (2 days ago!) I decided that I would find time to spend with my daughter…So since she is six, I had bought her some learning books (she is starting to read, just needs to take the leap into doing it-I guess confidence wise) and we have worked in the books for two days together and she is doing awesome! (this may make me sound absolutely terrible as a mother, but….) I never knew she could read as well as she could, she just needed to spend some more time on it! So now I’m going to spend at least a half an hour working with her so when she gets into first grade, she can be above the rest of the class! ;-)

SO instead of working all day, today I’m going to play games with her and read her stories. One day she will be grown up and I will regret the times that I did not take all the time of the world to connect with her!
