My definition of complete  — 7 months ago

If I can compete the, geeting in shape, goal and then go on to solely focus on and then two more consecutive goals. I may considers this done. Well, maybe, maybe, that and doing one thing at a time during my daily activities too. Nah, I’ll make that a separate goal.

Getting in shape  — 7 months ago

This year I decided not to make a list of New years resolutions. I’m just going to focus on one. The past year I’ve learned and relearned by dabbling in this goal a bit and that one a bit, nothing gets completed.

I’ve decided the goal I’m going to focus on in 2008 is getting in shape. After that’s completed, I’ll work on getting my financial house in order.

I need to start focusing on my life later, and getting into college and what i want to do with my life. I need to stay focused.

Much much progress  — 1 year ago

has been made in my daily life. I even feel safe saying as for as that is concerned I can mark this complete. Unfortunatly focusing on one “thing” meaning goal…well I’ve taken some steps back with that. Before I was practicaly obessed with moving to Seattle. Now that I’ve completed that goal I’m back to dabbling in this goal a little and dabbling in that goal a little. I should figure out which of my goals means the most to me and focus on that. It worked before.

teeny weeny baby steps  — 2 years ago

I’m doing this a little bit more but the major progress is that its on my mind more.

A little while ago I was braiding my hair when I stopped halfway through it and started making my bed. After I stripped the bed I remembered this goal and sat back down to finish my hair. I’ve been having about one of these occurences a day for the last month and a half. So this is good. I’m thinking about it daily. Now I just have to practice it daily.

I'm a long way off from being done with this goal  — 2 years ago

but having a day planner is helping. I think when I stop what I’m doing and jump to do something else its because I don’t want to forget to do that thing. The result is me hopping all over the place. So when I begin to feel anxious about the multitude of things that need to be done I write them all down. Then pick one and focus on that. When that feeling comes back and thoughts flood into my head like, I better pay my excise tax and I need to start laundry and if I don’t call Sue she’ll think something is wrong, I just go to my day planner and see that everything is listed and nothing will be forgotten. Then I take a good hard look at the listed item I’m suppose to be focused on and redirect my attention to that. It works. I just have to remember to keep using the day planner.

Focusing on one goal  — 2 years ago

Focusing on my main goal has become a habit now but I’m not marking this done yet. I’d like to expand this goal to include focusing on one task at a time.

At first the whole idea of multitasking was great but maybe I went overboard with it or I’m just not doing it right because I have half finished projects all over the place. It’s not uncommon to find me eating lunch, folding laundry, organizing my closet and going through my mail at the same time. When I do this, maybe one thing will get finished by the end of the day or even week. I think I’d be more productive if I just focus on one task.

Having a hard time  — 2 years ago

I am all over the place and I know it’s because I have ADD. I just got diagnosed last April but I know that I have had it a long time. I have not really been proactive in making my life easier and I have not got into doing personal research on how to accomodate life living with ADD. I am open to suggestions.

Help!!  — 2 years ago

This is my first real day off in a long time. I planned to go Christmas shopping early. So I logged on to my computer to check on my account balance. It has been almost 3 hours and I have been fooling around on my computer doing everything but checking my account. I just wish I make plans and stick to them. Sometimes it seems impossible for me. I hope 43 things will help.
