    Treated myself to some pampering a relaxation 5 months ago

    I gave myself a trip to the spa. I got a facial and a pedicure. It has been so long, and it was so nice to just relax.

    I am reminding myself right now to be happy with who I am and what I have and to love myself and not allow any negative thoughts to creep in and to not judge or criticize myself, just for now, just for the rest of this evening!

    where I was 12 months ago. I am learning to do this. I realise its not about doing the things I should, but learning its ok for me to do nice things for me. Like getting a massage, and buying myself some beautiful flowers. When you spend time in a bad relationship which takes so much out of you, and your focus is always on the other person, you forget the things that make you special as a individual, and its learning to be kind to yourself by doing the things that you really like and that make you smile. Thats what I think this goal is about.

    I’ve been sick and I’ve been trying really hard to be kind and patient with myself. I have a hard time just relaxing and allowing myself to rest.
    This is a good opportunity to exercise some self-care and kindness. Maybe I can get one step closer to achieving this goal.

    Being nice to myself also means being nice to others. No one is doing it wrong so I can no longer harbor anger or disappointment at someone. It’s kinda funny. Liked the film Elizabethtown sort of shows how we aren’t doing it wrong. Really interesting to see stuff.

    Low down dog day…so will remind myself of some pointers to help me get back on track:

    1= Luck doesn’t last long because it doesn’t depend on you. Good luck is created by you so it lasts forever.
    2= Everyone wants Good luck, but few decide to seek it.
    3= If you don’t have Good Luck now, maybe it’s because you’re under the same circumstances. So that you can have Good Luck, create new circumstances.
    4= Perpare favorable conditions for Good Luck that doesn’t mean only looking for your own benefit. Creating the conditions in which others also win brings Good Luck.
    5= If you leave for tomorrow what you can do today, Good Luck might never come. Creating favorable conditions requires taking the first step. Do it TODAY!
    6= Sometimes even favorable conditions are apparently present and Good Luck doesn’t come. Look at the small details that seem apparently unnecessary but that are indispensable!!
    7= For he who only believes in chance, creating favorable conditions seems absurd, for he who dedicates himself to creating favorable conditions, chance isn’t a motive for worry.
    8= No one can sell luck. Good Luck can’t be bought. Beware of sellers of Good Luck!!
    9= After creating all the favorable conditions, have patience, don’t give up. To achieve Good Luck, have confidence.
    10= To create Good Luck, you need to prepare favorable conditions for the opportunities. Opportunities, however, don’t depend on luck or chance: they’re always present!!
    Summary: Creating Good Luck consists only in creating favorable conditions!! And depend only on you!!

    Got off phone last night when naggy, depressed, unpleasant “friend” called to complain & be pissy. Urgh, thank God I’ve no more guilt about shortening conversations with people like that!!!
    I’ve made a resolution to AVOID ALL & ANY CONTACT with people like that – AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Just be unavailable before they pull me down to the ground & below it with their negativity.!!!
    I’m so proud of myself on this one!!
    Getting stronger about establishing LIMITS :):) :)!!

    Did some Yoga today & will make an effort to do it daily as it makes me feel fantastic!
    Also relistening to the book recording while I paint – :) little by little the bird builds its nest.
