I want to be financially secure

This is new to me but I will just wing it like I do most things in life. I am 57 years old and have had a number of jobs and business but have failed to build a finacial base. As the result of prograstination , poor follow through or just plain bad luck I need to turn this ship around.

I have cancer, I am forced to sell my home and my marriage is on the brink after 29 years of collaspse. Doesn’t sound to good. So today, I have drawn the line

I want to feel like the money I make is enough for our family. I want enough to provide my kids with clothes and all the little things that they may want. Its going to be a process and the wheels are turning just not fast enough. I am positive that it will happen its going to hard work and stress but it will all be worth it.

Seriously, all I want in life is to not have to struggle financially. I want to have money in the bank, so that we can support our family and be prepared to handle any issue that may come up.

I’ve struggled financially pretty much ever since I was on my own, but even more so when I moved to the D.C. area. Man, is it expensive out here. But…we paid off all of our debt (except car loans, a personal loan and my husband’s school loan) so we have made the first steps to becoming financially secure.

All I want is to not struggle. That’s it.
