I’ve got a few things that can be really helpful. I never really knew where i stood and wondered if i could reject the idea of a personal god without closing my mind for anything supernatural. I found this guy Richard Dawkins who makes some VERY sound arguments about atheism and gives some very good suggestions on how to integrate it in your life and style.
If this is on your list of things you want to do, there’s no better way to spend 20 minutes than to watch his talk on TED.com:

I can really recommend his book “The God Delusion” too. But you’ll know wether you want to read it after you’ve seen his talk on TED.com.
As for the 99.9% remark made by Tyzanol: You’re pessimistic. Atheism is MUCH wider than you think. I don’t know the exact numbers, but i think it’s somewhere around 30%, and that’s not including the people who aren’t really open about it. For example, do you really think Bush could say out loud he’s an atheist? Do you really think he believes in god? I for one doubt it…
Now go watch Dawkins! (-:
