Usually I can just hang up my wrinkled clothes, spray them with some water and let them dry. It works with most of my clothes but some of my work shirts have to be ironed. Of course these are the difficult ones so I always put it off. I have already started on my “to iron” pile and hopefully will get it under control.

I am finally done looking down from wrinkled-laundry mountains! and it feels good to have one less thing weighing me down.
Now, it’s time for a long over due night of relaxation.

Stephen went out this weekend and purchased a gigantic ironing board for me to indulge myself with – in a special thanks I ironed all of his clean, rumpled clothes for him. He looked nice the next day, I was so pleased. It’s really not all that hard.

I’m sick of looking sloppy and unkempt – don’t tell my mother.
First step: buy an ironing board and stop ironing off the finish from the table.

na0 thinks that her life is only getting better day by day.
in my adulthood, i have failed to ever own an iron or ironing board.
i used to just throw a wrinkled clothing item in the dryer…
now that i no longer have a dryer at my house either,
i find my clothes becoming very wrinkled in my closet.
i took the first steps tonight in trying to achieve this goal.
i went to target (the best store in the world) and bought a little palm iron and tabletop ironing board.
i plan on ironing a bunch of clothes wednesday night.
so, i will mark this goal as finished when i have ironed 25 clothing items.
sounds like a good number to me.

I’m so feckin lazy. You know that pile of ironing I talked about? Well, can you believe its still there!
I’ve looked at it, processed the idea ofironing the 4th and 5th item realised that I have like, 45 items to do and then promptly said to myself, bollocks, I’ll do it as and when I need it.
Now, that attitude means that I’m likely to have it there forever and a day. Amber is here today (she’s nearly 13 12 going on 22) I asked her how her ironing skills were! She just said, ‘uh uh, no way I AM NOT doing your ironing Dad’ I intimated that 20 quid might change her mind and her attitude changed somewhat.
I’m not going down that route though. I don’t want her to think that life is all about barter and exchange, work and reward, at least not in any strictly monetary sense. It would have been nice for her to have said ‘I’ll do it for you Dad’ just cos she loves me and stuff like that, but hey..seriously its not one of those things I should be expecting of my children in any case!
I need to sort it out before Kimmy arrives. I think she will be the final motivator.
‘Hi, welcome to my lazy bastard abode’ is not a message I should be sending.

A huge pile of ironing upstairs which Ive looked at far too many times.
Why do I hate ironing so much? I’d rather buy a new top!
Jeans are easy, 2 once overs and they are done. But shirts and t-shirts, aaargh drives me nuts.
I looked for an ‘Ironer’ in the local shop. Not one person is advertising ironing services in any of my local shops. I could go to a dry cleaning shop but that would cost the earth.
I really need to attack my ironing pile.
Hey, if anyone is local and has thing for ironing, do please volunteer your services.
Volunteering is a good thing to do :D
