On the road to healthy 3 weeks ago

I lost 4.5 pounds which makes me that much closer to my goal. I have been going to the gym 3 or 4 times per week and exercising for 1 to 2 hours. I really need to get this weight off for health purposes. I am working at this and I will not stop this time…..

No diet have worked at all 2 months ago

God, I am almost 98 Kg (196 pounds) and I have to loose it or get some real serious trouble by getting diabetes, cholesterol, breathing difficulty, but so far I only be able to loose 2 – 3 kilos (4 – 5 pounds), I’ve done many kind of diets, starting from starving my self, only eat apples for meals for two weeks, only eat diet-cookies and milk, but so far, it only make have an illness that require me to eat antacid every time it attacks, and now I am doing this diet, by not starving my self, but only eat meals with no snack between meals at a reduced portion, swimming and cycling, so far I’ve lost 6 pounds but gain 2 more pounds after stop the exercises. One of my friends said no need to starve our self to loose weight, just make sure we eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. One method that so popular years ago in my country was having acupuncture to reduce appetite, thus reduce food-intake, but do far have no guts to do it yet, because when on the treatment, rice and carbohydrate alike are off-limits

I have been battling with my weight for a good while now. I weigh 182 pounds which to me is HUGE! I just want to feel good about myself.. I have a boyfriend but I just feel that I am an embarrasment to him and he finds me repulsive which i dont blame him for at all.. I just need support to keep me going =]



Seeking: healthy body and life 5 months ago

I have been overweight my whole life and I’m desperately wanting to change.

Over the last year and a half I went from 297 to 267. There have been set backs and emotional duress but in the end, I’ve lost 30 pounds and I’m ecstatic about that! =)

Current Weight: 267
Short-Term Goal Weight: 250
Long-Term Goal Weight: 175

I’m 5’9 so I don’t know that I need to get as low as 175. I need to just get under 200 and then see how I feel. 250 is my temporary goal as I haven’t been under 250 in over five years.

I use Weight Watchers online program and am not the greatest with counting points. I also get to the gym … sometimes. I do love working out – when I’m there, I usually can’t force myself to leave the gym! =) – but it’s the Getting There that is an issue. Motivation is a big issue for me.

A big thing for me is to do this slowly and healthfully and the RIGHT way. I’m opposed to surgery (for me – I’m only 26 and I am not incapacitated in any physical fashion) so I’d really just like to eat better, exercise more, and cut back on my water. Yeah … I drink almost two gallons some days so I’m trying to cut back to a gallon per day as I worry about water toxicity. Also, someone told me that I could be flushing the nutrients and vitamins out of my body. I can’t help it though – I love water! I gave up caffeine and nicotine five years ago and replaced both with water. It’s become just as much of an addiction! lol =)



Two babies and 90 pounds later 6 months ago

It’s tough to start. But I’ve neverbeen heavier than 130 pounds max!!! I’m trying to lose 90 pounds because I want to be fill of energy again. I also would love to fit in my clothes again. Start weight is 198. Goal weight is 108 lbs. If I can get to 121 I’ll be happy as well:)

I am 209, probably more after my horrible break up last week. I’m 5’1 and I can be my healthy weight by February 2010, which is 120. I’ve struggled with having weight all my life but it hasn’t ever seemed to affect my personal relationships. Only recently have a realized how much I let my weight run my life. I want to do a lot, like scuba and sky diving and horseback riding and rock climbing. Things my friends could all run off and do right now, things that have weight limits. Also, not a single photo of me exists after age 12. I want my friends and family to be able to take a photo of me without my forcing them to delete it immediately.

Starting again. Nothing new. Very busy working and with day to day life, yet can’t seem to get this weight off. Tired of feeling crappy and sad. Starting to feel better now. Got a kick boxing bag and my husband hung it for me in the garage last night. I like it. I’m also dong a low carb almost atkins-like way of eating. I do better with low carb. Carbs are not my friends. I have a gym membership, but don’t have much time to go, so I get discouraged because I can’t go 3-5 daysper week, and then I don’t go at all. Trying to get that taken care of too. One of my goals is also to punch the back 5 minutes a day (it’s a little too high to kick right now, have to lower it some). I started that yesterday. My goal is to do this for just 30 days. We’ll see how it goes. Good Luck everyone!! Happy Weightloss!!
