After what seemed like a million hours of studying, and four times taking the stupid test, I Did It! I can now get so much more $$$ for college!
I recommend Barron’s prep books- I went from a 29 to a 34!!!
How I did it: I did three or four practice tests (each of which take a few hours.) I scored all of them myself, so this is pretty much what I was expecting to get. My writing score was pretty disappointing. However, I didn't practice that part very much. Conclusion? Practice makes perfect. I'll be retaking it because of the writing, and hopefully get a little higher on the other sections, if only incidentally. I used the Real ACT prep guide, though I really don't think it makes that much of a difference which prep book you use. It's just important that you do prepare.
