History in general interests me, it always has! Would I be right in thinking that this is the last of the 7 original ancient wonders of the world left?
Anyway, last year I taught about Ancient Eqypt in school. I am a firm believer than to teach effectivly, it is better to teach from experience, rather than a book! What better to teach the kids than to have visited and share my own experiences? I think the kids respond better to that too.
This is not my only reason though! I want to go for myself too! It would be an amazing, unforgettable experience! I want to work in Africa for a year, maybe I will get to visit then!

If I were to ever go and explore/look at some of the pyramids in Egypt… I would probably scream my head off. I remember in 6th grade, my history teacher used to ramble on and on, practically rubbing it in our faces that they had gone to Egypt and seen the pyramids… It was kinda of ignorant, but they seemed so happy to share their memories with my peers at the time, it was almost funny. They just recently died, and I returned from their funeral a few days again. They were pretty awesome though, and I thought it was pretty cool myself. They were one of the most awesome teachers ever! ^_~

I have always been interested in Ancient Egyptian Culture. I had taken an art renaissance class with a professor who had told us all about her trip to Egypt and showed us the pictures. Since then I’ve wanted to go and see it for myself.

I’m planning my 3 week trip to Egypt and Jordan this Christmas! So excited about it after researching into all the beautiful sites. I will be traveling through Cairo, Luxor, Ambu Simbel, Alexandria, Sharm El Sheik – red sea, doing a desert safari (not all in that order!) and then heading to the city of Petra for the beautiful rose buildings, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea.
I am so incredibly excited, esp after going to the British museum last weekend and seeing the Egyptian exhibit.
Can’t wait!!
