I’ve been talking about hosting a monthy letters to prisoners potluck at my place. I’ve heard of such things in other towns working well…

If you live near Boston, you can volunteer at the Prison Book Society. They send books to prisoners who write in & request them. Some of the letters are very moving and they want to learn a trade or learn to be better parents. It’s amazing that some prisons allow workout rooms, but do not allow libraries.
