Stretching is now part of my exercise routine, and important to me. It is cooling down after exercise, it’s adding reach to my strength, it’s a time for review of progress, it’s a moment of meditation before plunging back into the world.

I must remember to explicitly stretch my calves when I’ve done the Super Circuit. This stiffness is unneccesary.

I’ve tried some new stretches today, from my gym’s magazine. They did stretch some new muscles! It seems that one needs a repertorium of stretches.
One of the stretches I could not get to work at all. I’ll go practice it quietly at home.

Today I’ve learned that overexercising before stretching makes the stretching much less enjoyable and effective.

Stretching seems to make a real difference to mobility. In one of my stretching exercises I can now touch my buttock with my right heel.

Stretching after exercise really is a good thing. It gives time for a good cool down, seems to reduce stiffness, and I really seem to be able to stretch more. I might be able to do the splits one of these days!

so good. Stretching helps a lot for feeling good after exercise. I’ve just moved to heavier weights, so my muscles are a bit sore, and stretching helps for that as well.
I’ve even found a routine for stretching on waking up in the morning!

I felt a bit lost without my recently achieved exercise regularly goal. I’m also still a beginner at exercising and there’s lots of stuff I still need to learn. So here is an exercise-related goal.
I’ve started feeling that I need stretching. My muscles are sometimes a bit sore, and I feel better if I cool down properly after exercise. So I remembered that we have a book on stretching in the house. It seems to be full of pictures of pretty women doing too many stretches to remember, but on closer examination there’s just one stretch on every two pages, with some alternatives shown.
