I winged it 3 months ago

It was hard, I didn’t work from any pattern or from any measurements besides my eyes. I made a high waisted skirt, very detailed, and I am proud of it. The best thing about it was that I made it with my own 2 hands and I was proud. I also was able to have it tailored to my specific body type and I could make it look exactly how I wanted it to look. I have always done things by winging them it has made me feel accomplished and creative. It also made me realize I had a talent for winging things and making them work.

I'm in the process... 8 months ago

I’m quite glad I took a clothing and textiles class this year. It’s really easy, so it’s almost one of those “blow off” classes – it is for everyone else anyway.. But our next project is individual so I think I shall make myself a sundress =] I just can’t wait.

A stitch in time... 10 months ago

Increasingly I’ve had a desire to learn how to make my own clothes. From a pair or trousers to a ball gown. At the moment I can thread a needle, so beyond that I have ALOT to learn!

Halloween: pirate! 22 months ago

I go to Threadbanger.com often, and I saw the tutorial Corinne created on a pirate costume one special Halloweeny Wednesday. I made the hat and the corset, but I couldn’t find a right skirt and shirt to edit. For some reason, I was missing a few details and I looked like some old pirate woman with no sense of style. It sucked. I think I’m going to try again this year.

Accessory: scarf 22 months ago

I crocheted a rainbow scarf, and it turned out pretty good. I picked the thin yarn (with a thin crochet stick), so it happened to be sort of uncomfortable and itchy when I finished it. But it’s pretty, and I like it!

Bottom: skirt! 22 months ago

Yay, I finished my pencil skirt! ... long time ago. I wore it once on Halloween, but OMG pencil skirts are the most annoying (and stylish) things on this planet. I was going trick-or-treating ( still kid (: ) with my friend, and there was this one house with mud on the side of the lawn and we were trying to cross over it… My friend jumped over it, no big deal. And then I tried doing that too, but when I did, BAM rip in the skirt. Alright, I’m exaggerating a bit, but my poor, little skirt suffered a boo-boo.

Btw, the picture doesn’t show the full skirt but I’m sure you get the idea of it. It’s a pencil skirt.

Hair: barrettes 22 months ago

These are my sissy hair clips. I don’t like them very much, haha. Whatever.

Hair: hat! 22 months ago

I made four already, but they were all gifts. I miss them. ):

The two hats shown are my favorite ones so far. (Sorry about the dark photos.) The first one is for my giraffe SARAH, and the second is my hoogler ZOYA. Guess what the logos are of??

My hats aren’t totally brilliant, but I can live with them for now. I’m only 100 years old. Believe that.

Fine, if I have to tell you what my logos are of… the first one’s of a TV cus my friend would die without it. (: In a nice way. And the second one is of a giraffe, duh! Alrighty.

If you would be so kind, tell me your thoughts about my sewing projects, please. You can be mean but be constructive mean, if you know what I mean. (Wow, lotta means) Anyhoo, thanks a lot!
