Working it ouit 2 years ago

I got off my ass after months of not making work and started something small today. I also signed up for the goal of making art that excites me, not quite there yet but if I actually keep working everyday maybe it will progress somewhere interesting.

i love it 3 years ago

art is such a developing inspiration for me. it is my essence, my passion, my life.

    So I've started ... 3 years ago

Found a website that illustrates a type of art I’m pretty interested in. I’ve started taking drawing classes at the local art school so I can make better sketches at work. See, the folks in my marketing department are interested in knowing what’s going on inside my head, I need to be able to draw that for them. The drawing course is teaching me line quality, weight, how to draw perspective, etc … basic stuff that I haven’t dealt with since 7th grade.

But I’m more interested in straightfoward black ink and white paper. No difference in darkness of stroke: all black. More as this progresses.

    Inspired! 3 years ago

I haven’t been doing this at all but I did have a burst around Thanksgiving/Christmas and submitted several cards to a well-known stamping publication (my very favorite one) and was notified by the arrival of a contributor’s copy in today’s mail that one of them has been published!

I’m very excited because I’ve submitted to this mag several times and this is the first time I’ve been published in it (I have gotten into several other mags before) and it’s been a goal to get a card into this magazine for several years.

In fact I’m kicking myself for not listing that goal here because it would feel great to check it off!

Hopefully this will kick my creative energy back up again!

I love making paper creations... 3 years ago

ATCs, 4×4s, cards, scrapbook pages etc. both for myself and others. I have tons of supplies, just gotta do it do it do it. I love doing it when I make the time. So I’m starting a New Years art-every-day challenge to myself. Make a card, work on a scrapbook page, work on a collage, do SOMETHING every day. We’ll see how it goes…

I LOVE ART!!! 3 years ago

One of the things i enjoy the most in life its art, of any kind. But ive become to love the most making art whit my own hands. Im not a picasso or a van goh, but my art is very unique. My pic is the paiting i love the most, the sun and the moon, what was my inspiration i really dont remember, but i just love it, and the colors too.

I wanna read opinons about it, what messege u get from my painting.

I will find it intresting, so come on!!!!

The practice is helping. 3 years ago

I’ve been doing much better. A lot of little doodles and studies is adding up to a noticable increase in skill. All it takes is a little doodle a day to draw you into making more and more complete images. Small steps give you confidence and help you work quickly.

For a few weeks I was doing a bit of art every day, I’ve fallen behind lately, but the results and my improvement while I was doing it have helped my confidence.

I intend to continue making small things rather than large things. The bigger, more finished pieces will just have to come when they do. In the meantime what I need to do is doodle, study and practice.
