I’ve always wanted to change the world for the better, how better could I do this than run for President?
I figure I may need some serious credentials before I run, so I will definitely be working on that :).

Bring the boys home with honor. They have earned it.
Oil, Push companies to allow telecomuting.
Oil companies, they want our back. They better back ours. Keep getting rich, we know who you are to.
Oil boys, keep your proifits, but keep this going on. See what you get. You won’t sell but to anything but China. Move on over there.
Our econ stops.. what you think happens in the short term?
You sell nothing!!!
After being a diehard Obama supporter, you can imagine the brokenheartedness and betrayal I felt when Obama stated, ”...marriage has religious and social conotations and I believe marriage to be between a man and a woman.”
He frequently mentions that his parents were being totally taboo when they married, becuase interracial marriage was a big no-no back then. And he’s currently on his STAND FOR CHANGE TOUR. I was so in love with his campaign mainly because he’s so progressive and sick of the old way in which the government was being run.
Yet at the same time he’s a total hypocrite by denying same sex couples the basic rights included with marriage because of tradition. That’s all it is: tradition. He’s bringing his religion into the campaign. The presidency isn’t about him, it’s about the American people and everyone else that we affect.
This isn’t all about Barack Obama though. I really started to like John Edwards beause he explicitly stated that he will NOT bring his religious beliefs into office with him. It’s just that, he doesn’t give off the same vibes as Obama. If we could just morph the two together…
After I got over my initial depression, I realized that it is indeed impossible and probably illegal to create a hybrid super-presidential candidate, so why not run for office myself?
Maybe by the time I can run for office, the American people will be less conservative and more open to people who are different than the norm.
I’m a Jewish lesbian from New York. We’ve never had an out president, a Jewish president, or a female president. And there’s only been one or two presidents from New York.
Yea, I have time to think about this; I’m only 16 and I can’t even vote yet, but I think I’m very educated in politics, especially for someone my age.
Maybe you’ll remember me and vote for REAL change. =)

I was involved in a pretty nasty car accident last year. A minivan pummeled into my driver’s side at 60mph. The rescue people had to tear the door off of my car to get me out. The only reason I survived was because it turned out that I had a side air bag.
Medical bills work better than coffee. I was not insured because I was young, fit, and was going to live forever. I owed the hospital around $7000 total and was in there from after church until suppertime that evening. That was when I first heard it.
My oldest brother got called to Iraq. Ok, this time the voice was more like a scream. Saying good bye to him was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I accepted.
What I hope to do for our country…
!) Give wellfare a different name and meaning. It shall now be known as Stability. People should not be given leftovers and secondhand clothes their whole life. Wellfare should be limited, a stepping stool to something greater. Each person going on wellfare will be assigned a certain due date. That due date will be determined by that person’s particular needs and situation (about a year or so). Within that time they will be given ample help and oppurtunity to find a real job and earn their own money. This plan will not only benefit them, but others, as it in turn provides more jobs for other people.
2) Fix medicare. Congressmen don’t realize how good they’ve got it, or maybe they do, and that’s why they are sitting on their asses doing nothing about it. I say give congressmen the same medicare plan that we have and see how they like it.
3) Our military deserves better. I learned that the supplies the government issues is flat out no good. Our soldiers wouldn’t be caught (or if they were caught they would be) dead using it. Instead they are left to find decent protective gear and other items from other sources such as the FBI. I say if these men are willing to die for our country, then the least we could do is provide them with sufficient gear and aid.
4) Adopt Mexico into our country. I’m sure I will receive a lot of criticism for this one. What better way to solve the problem of illegal immigration than to make the majority of the illegal immigrants legal? Then we wouldn’t have to worry about them sneaking over here so much. In turn it would help us as well. It would give us more territory.
...more to come I’m sure
I’ve actually done a little bit of research and it looks like it takes a bit of work to get on the general election ballot of most states. Even a write-in has paperwork to fill out to qualify!
It looks like this is going to be a collaborative effort. I need at least 25 volunteers, maybe less, since we would only have to win key states. I’m particularly interested in residents of California, Texas, New York, New Jersey, All of New England, Virginia, and any other state with a significant number of electoral votes to cast. Loyal members of the Republican or Democrat parties and other “moles” need not apply (under threat of libel and perjury).
I thought that this year on my birthday, I would become eligible to run for President – but it just goes to show how little I know about the Constitution. According to Wikipedia I could have thrown my hat into the ring last year. Anyways, shall we celebrate my birthday by writing my name on a ballot for President of the United States of America? I’m sure it’ll be a kick!
i ran for schhol president it was my first year in a new school and it was worth it!!!
I plan on running for president of the U.S. someday but so far I have become National Honors Society President and I already have a good amount of support.
I’ll have to wait until 2012 to accomplish this goal, but in the meantime my persective opponents only seem to be making it easier for me.
