create an emergency fund of 3 months' living expenses

Adam’s getting a pretty sweet paycheck with a comma on Friday, and then our loan goes through on Tuesday. I’m looking forward not living paycheck to paycheck anymore—we’re literally within 10 dollars of deposits/checks written each month on our statements. What a NASTY feeling. As soon as I have 3 months saved up I’m going to probably quit my job and take ANYTHING else I can get in my area. Fingers crossed!

Now that we’re getting our home equity line of credit (see my “get out of debt” goal), we won’t have to live paycheck to paycheck anymore. I’m looking forward to being able to concentrate on setting aside money each month as a buffer in case something happens to Adam or I.

Right now I have no idea how we’ll even pay THIS month’s expenses, let alone SAVE three months worth! I hate transitional periods.
