We cruised from SF to Alaska and back. It was a fabulous trip- and included a very cool and unusual day cruising through the Tracy Arm Fiord.

This one I’d loke to do for a friend for their birthday. But if I can’t do that I’d still like to go. So it’s on the list.
I still don’t have a cruise set up, but I have BEEN TO ALASKA! I got to go for work and stayed an extra day to poke around Anchorage. Now I want to see more of the state even more than I did before.
My mother-in-law took my wife on a cruise down the coast last year, and my wife desperately wants to go with me on one. My dream is to cruise to Alaska, although that isn’t her first choice. I’m entranced by the pictures and video I’ve seen, especially of the wildlife and the Aurora Borealis.
To travel by ship, to do so in the northern waters, to see everything from that vantage point. You must. Spend the money for a varanda, have that private balcony space. And yes, take the old people cruise, why…well because you’re bringing your girlfriend or wife, and you can expect such a cruise to carry the highest quality accomodations, food, service, and besides the elderly are so much fun (and they can’t beat you in line to the good stuff). Ok, sour jokes aside, hit the singles cruise if you’re single or just bring a friend, but the quality of experience on these lines (Holland America, Amsterdam) and the amazing country you can explore, albeit shortly, on every port of call will leave an indelible mark carrying smiles for the rest of your days. Whales, water unlike any other, vistas of craggy mounts and jagged glaciers….take the helicopter flight to the glacier, walk on it.
