How I did it: My friends and I decided to help out at Red Cross for the victims of Typhoon Ketsana/Ondoy. Sorted through clothes and tied bags. After this experience, I decided to get my First Aid and CPR certification to become a permanent volunteer for Red Cross. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I signed up with Youth Volunteering Warrington! It's not that difficult, is it? I've done a few projects now & it's mostly really good. xx Read how I did it…
How I did it: I signed up for my company's tree planting program. Since it was june, we were just up for mulching -- trying to protect the existing seedlings by weeding the perimeter, and putting the detached weeds under the seedlings to protect any exposed root from the harsh May sun, and help retain the little moisture that they can get. The weeds wilt in the process and gets turned into fertilizer. Nifty, huh? :) Read how I did it…

How I did it: In doing my practicum for my counselling studies, I began volunteering at a drop-in centre in a hospital. My friend needed someone to take pictures of a play she put together at her church, I volunteered.
Fundraising; PR/hosting; researching.
Work for local NPR, PBS, theatres, children shelters.
I’ve been looking for volunteer opportunities here and there, and found Kythe, a volunteer group that provides support for critically ill cancer patients. I don’t know if I can cope emotionally, but I’ll try my best.
I’ve also been looking into volunteering at CISV as a counselor. I miss working with kids!

Saturday I will be doing my monthly volunteer work and I’m really looking forward to it.

I’ll be doing more once the weather changes. I really have a hard time volunteering more than one Saturday a month. It feels like I don’t get to do enough of the things I want to do if I volunteer two Saturdays a month. Or maybe I could do one weekend a month, farmers market, (food shelter) and then Sundays do the lost pet thing.

I volunteer once a month at the farmer’s market, I like it.
