When I was 15 years old, I decided that my first car would be a BMW and I gave myself a deadline to buy it before I was 30. It felt achievable because I could always just end up buying a really old one and still meet this goal.
As I grew older and it stayed in the back of my mind and I didn’t feel compelled to buy just any car on the market. I used a motorcycle first then later used public transport to get everywhere. Eventually I got used to public transport and it didn’t seem like a burden. My mom often went out of the country for long periods of time and I’d have her car to use.
Well I turned 28 and I thought, hey if I still want to achieve this dream I had as a kid better do it now. It took me a long while and lots of considerations, but I looked around and I ended up buying a 5 series. (I was looking for a 3, but this particular 525 Sports just caught my eye).
I still take public transport to work, simply because I live only 4km away and it’s not worth driving in traffic and paying for parking in the city. But I use the car for my nights, weekends and long distance driving. I love it that way.
I’ve been having the car for 8 months and I’ve no regrets about buying it.

This is beyond the ultimate driving mechine. Blue 325ci coupe…..2003….oh god….so beautiful. It TURNS HEADS!!!! Manual and FUN FUN FUN to drive. I take my girl to dinner and she loves showing up in the hottest car there. Either this or the porshe….this blows the porshe away!

My father has a BMW and i just got my lisence and guess what?! He is actually getting me one!!! It’s unbelivible to me that he actually is. I am the luckiest 16 year old alive. 2003 325!

I leased a 325 a few years ago and LOVED IT!, now I that I’m making more $$ I want to buy the new 328i coupe. I’m just not sure if I should do it now. I’m wondering if leasing it would be a better choice. Any advice?

Had a 320i, followed by 320d, now my latest is 330d Individual with steptronic….man this monster is awesome to drive!

Once it was purchased there wasn’t much excitement.
Did my personal value go up because I bought a car? Most people who own Bimmers in San Diego lease them – not own.
My self worth is based on me – and not the ornaments that I dangle in front of others. (I have the same feelings about my Mercedes)
