I have decided to enroll in DM222 “Children’s Ministry Skills” at Sydney Missionary & Bible College.
It’s on Wednesday nights, during Semester 2 this year.
I still have to decide whether I will audit the subject (go along, but not do exams/assessments- so it doesn’t count towards a certificate) or do the subject for credit (do the exams/assessments).
I don’t really need to do it for credit- I don’t plan to count in towards an award- I’m only going to do it so that I can improve my skills and learn some new things. Someone suggested to me that doing a subject at a Bible College would be good for me because I have spent so much time at uni, and like to think in an “academic” way, as well as a practical way.
But, if I’m going to do it, I might as well do it for credit.
I will be more inspired to get as much as I can out of it, if what I learn will be measured by assessment tasks.
This is still something I need to think about.
It costs $200 to audit, $300 to do it for credit, but the money isn’t really the issue.
