When I was in my last relationship, I got extremely lazy about my appearance. My ex-boyfriend and I didn’t really go out much at all, so I would just wear T-shirts and jeans to hang out at his house. I ALWAYS dress up for work, however, wearing mostly skirts, and I always wear heels to work.
Since he broke up with me, I decided I needed to get back to me and taking care of myself. I have a lot of male friends, but I do have girl friends too. But, in listening to their conversations, I understand why a man wouldn’t want a sloppy woman.
Anywho, after that, I bought some new clothes, new make-up, got a haircut, etc. However, I have recently gotten lazy… AGAIN. Today though, I wore heels and a blouse instead of a t-shirt. I do always wear make-up, and I consistently dress up for work. I recently got a haircut, but I haven’t been taking care of my hair. I am working on exercising more, wearing dresses/skirts instead of jeans when I go out at night, and I want to try and be more refined in my approach to people and life. I’m 21 years old, and it’s time to grow up and be who I truly want to be.

So, a couple of months ago I went to Sephora and bough $200 worth of makeup. Yeah, I know. So, I’ve been wearing it to raves for practice. I don’t wanna wear it to school until next year. Anywho, as for clothes I bought those pointy shoes. I’ve only worn them once, but that’s because I don’t know what else to wear with them. There’s alot more I’d like to do with being girly. I’m definately not all the way there yet, but hopefully I’ll be there soon. :)

I’ve started wearing earrings again.
That’s a start, is it not?
I do enjoy dresses a lot.
I don’t wear them that often because I am a bit self conscious.
& it’s almost winter now anyway!

I am a total tomboy and want to be more girly. Especially as I have started writing for a wedding magazine :0

A BIG UPDATE
I really believe this is an excellent goal.
I bought a hair styles (buns, twists, and braids) book by Klutz and have been trying them out, they are really nice and the book is for beginners.. so I recommend it to all! My hair is already pretty long but I figure if I know how to do my hair right, I dont need these layers (I have fairly long layers). But I will keep my bangs.
I have also been wearing dresses more. I am getting ready for fall and winter and going to learn how to wear dresses and tights. Jeans are good as long as they are paired with a nice hair style and/or nice top. ALSO I am trying out new types of shoes.
I’ve been dressing up for my boyfriend whenever he sees me (well, not every time.. but most times!). I think one of the best ways to show your boyfriend you care and to keep him around is to dress up for him.. even if that means doing your hair and putting on some makeup. Sure, I wear sweats and pjs around him. But I make sure theyre flattering at least :)
I’m trying to not be such a slob and am reorganizing my whole area. Cleaning up after myself. Figuring out how to store things.
Been taking care of my feet. Growing out my nails.
And finally, trying to be more friendly, charming, and yet assertive. I am not very assertive and its debilitating.
:D

i aim for an Elven androgyny, and that means feminizing (with the help of estrogen/anti-androgens to shrink some things, redistribute fat, alter face shape a bit) quite a bit. Yay!

I don’t want to be a girly girl or anything. I just want to be pretty.

How can I let down my guard? I feel like I need to get in touch with my feminine side more, loosen up, let down my guard. I’m a control freak and don’t like feeling vulnerable. Any suggestions?
