Well, there is an audition for a movie that sounds interesting about 2 1/2 hours away from me next weekend, and I’m actually going to be in the area for something else the same day as the audition. I could easily work it out, but I don’t know if I should because I can’t really afford to commute during filming. Besides, I think they’re looking for a bigger time commitment than I can agree to. Too bad. It really sounds like an interesting role. The role I wanted to audition for is a Quirky, fun, free-spirited type Special Ed teacher. :)
Someday, . . . Someday.

TECHNICALLY, I auditioned for a small independant film. But I didn’t really know I was auditioning, so I don’t think this should count. I DID, however, get cast for one of the principle roles. . . so not too shabby. :) We started filming a couple of nights ago, so it was my first time on set. It was a lot of fun. A LOOOONG night, so it was hard to get out of bed to go to work the next morning, but a lot of fun! We have 5 more weeks of filming, but we’re only filming once or twice a week. Sometime in March, they’ll be showing a rough cut for our friends and family, so that should be a good time.
Okay, I’m almost 26 years old. It’s about darn time I start working on my goals. I’m making it a personal goal of mine to start with local theatre and other projects to gain some experience. I’m hoping to take an improv class after the first of the year, and I’m going to start looking for a photographer to shoot me for a great head shot. :)
I’m serious! I mean business! I’m going to spend the next year learning about the business, finding an agent, and getting all the training I can. Wish me luck!
Auditioning isn’t something I would normally do but it was a lot of fun. the script was soo cheesy but it is one of those goals that is a milestone.
I had to stand in line all day, and at the end I realized they wanted a “professional” head shot, not a Polaroid of me in line. Be prepared.
I have an email saying i got the part of Bea.
:-I
ahem
AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHH
I am going to be in somebody else’s movie
Hahahaha
On the day of the auditions I totally chickened out but. . . put myself on autopilot which meant i systematically gave my daughter to a friend and went and got on the train to Sheffield to go to the auditions! I learned my lines on the train and memorised both scenes. . .
When I got there it was so so nerve wracking!
In a black room with a load of hot lights. . . Anyway, I really enjoyed it. I even enjoyed my nerves being on overload! I came away feeling accomplished and as if I’d achieved something :]
Then yesterday I got an email saying that I had interperated the character really well and that although I hadn’t bagged the role of the main character, Maria, I had been shortlisted for a smaller part.
:]
It feels good.
Okaaaaaay! I’ve arranged me going to an movie audition :-/
Hahahaha so not something I would have thought I had the guts for! Hehe. And because if something is worth doing it’s worth doing well, I’m auditioning for the MAIN CHARACTER called Maria :-) HAhahahahahHA
