It’s got fruit in it too. I’m only 17..and I’m a garden geek haha. Me and my dad grow pumpkins and potatoes and corn and peas and onions and garlic and strawberries and cucumbers and zuchini and basil and oregeno and oh well I know there’s got to be more that I can’t think of. The cucumbers are AMAZING. They are so much better than the cucumbers at the grocery store by far.

I thought for the longest time that I wasn’t going to get any vegetables at all. My plants are all stunted because we didn’t do enough to prepare the soil for nutrient-loving vegetable plants. But there are tiny eggplants and peppers growing on my stunted plants!
About the closest thing I’ve had to a vegetable garden is growing cherry tomatoes in 5th grade. My grandparent’s had a garden though. Maybe my fiance and I will start one.
Here is a mountain of squash and cucumbers we have pulled from our garden recently. We are starting to get a couple red tomatoes, and some tiny little watermelons. The corn is getting tall too, but no ears yet.
Oh, and I made a squash casserole the other day with some of the squash from our garden, and it was DELICIOUS!
But, I do have a little blueberry plant that seems to be thriving. My plum trees look great still. I should go water them though as it has been dry around here recently.
My strawberries never came up, and the rabbits kept eating the grape leaves and it looks like it might have died. I did forget about it for a while, so I will take the blame for that one. :-(
farrahann is lovin it all......
So it has been raining for pretty much three straight bloody weeks, basicly right after I planted!! But finally they say sun…yahooo
I am proud to day I have my first sprout!!

The peppers finally went in the ground yesterday and with the help of my husband and his nephew, we mulched the whole garden.
Three out of four of my eggplants have disappeared—my best guess is it’s rabbits chewing them off nearly at the ground. One of them is attempting to recover, but the other two are just gone.
My New Zealand spinach seeds seemed to be completely inactive, but when I was down close enough to the ground to plant the peppers, I found little tiny sprouts that might be New Zealand spinach.
I planted my herbs about a month ago on my balcony- its so much fun seeing them grow and having to care about it- and eating it!
I am working on this one…the plants are in the ground, but it doesn’t count until I actually get some vegetables from it, right? My first goal is to get all the weeds out of it!
the picture is from when we first put the garden in about a month ago…it is covered in weeds now! need to work on that!
