learn how to weld

I would love to learn this trade. There is a program that I’m looking into which starts the end of the summer.
I used to work in London, Ontario at a few auto factories…. Formet – which was a great experience being around all those machines. and I’ve worked on spot welders. Very basic stuff, but a great introduction and I loved being a part of it.

I think I would be an awesome welder. I’ve never done it or really seen anyone do it, but I think I could rock welding.

I finished a intro to welding (Oxy-Acetelyne, TIG, MIG and Stick Arc) last semester at the local community college and it was a lot of fun. I’ve had a few opportunities to practice some aluminum TIG and some steel MIG and have been reasonably proud of the results. Now I’ve got to keep practicing to be fully confident. Someday soon, I’m going to have to by a home MIG Welder.

I want to learn how to weld

I’ve had alot of reasons recently to learn how to weld. There’s alot of stuff I want to build or need to build. I saw plans on the internet to build your own arc welder. That’s another project if I can collect the parts

i can build a cabin in the woods, out of wood, and i don’t need a welder to walk everyday, and even though i could repair metal structures as a random act of kindness with a welder, there has to be one new goal that can squirm onto the to-do list if i move welding over for a while…

My honey and I have many, many skills between us, but we’re missing two important ones for RV-ing around the country: welding and upholstery. As he’s still busy working for a living, it’s probably up to me to learn both.

i think it would be so cool to learn to weld to make various accoutrements for the home…
or maybe i’ll find that inner abstract artist in me and break out the torch for some fabulous work of art that will rival the Christo’s gates in NYC :)
