If my trip to Rome in November comes to fruition, I’ll have an audience with Pope Benedict XVI.

Worth doing!
i met the pope when i was in yonkers,ny! what an experience!!
it would be cool to sit down and have a normal dinner with some interesting people at the table. The Pope would be one of them.. just to sit and eat and have a normal chat and see what he is like. No pomp or ceremony.. that would be unique..
Einstein and Mozart would be the other two characters LOL
Worth doing!
I met him in Saint Louis, MO in ‘99. I sang in the Papal Choir at the Mass and was then taken to the base where his plane was leaving from. My stepmom was a regional director for Secret Service at the time, so I was taken from the crowd inside out to the tarmac, given credentials and met Pope John Paul and Archbishop Justin Regali as His Holiness went to the plane.
It was pretty surreal.
I sang in St. Peter’s once….it was like going to a party and not getting to meet the host.
come on, who DOESN’T want to meet the Pope? he’s a celebrity! i kicked myself after JPII passed on b/c i never got the opportunity to meet him, and i know it would have been the experience of a lifetime. now, i have to meet the new Pope, or else i’ll kick myself again. plus, it will give me more of a reason to travel to europe. i really really need to go and see my family there and all the beautiful history that is there. so, i’m hoping to go as soon as i gradute university next year. fingers are crossed!
i have always wanted to go to the vatican. most of my family has gone, but i have not. i have a rosary blessed my the pope that my grandmother gave to me. this is very important to me. i have a deep respect for the pope and for my roots which were instilled in me at a very early age. i went to catholic school from the age of 3 on up. i have studied all religions and have visited just about every kind of church, but my heart remains true to my roots.
Worth doing!
When I was in Rome two summers ago, I met Cardinal Ratzinger (before he was pope)...I asked him what the greatest problem facing the church was…he said moral relativism.
