It was interesting. This happened a while ago. Before my boyfriend and I were together, we had hung out a few times and ended up sleeping together. He didn’t leave in the a.m. and he didn’t retreat to his own part of the bed, but he held me all night long, and I woke up in practically the same position in which I fell asleep. I had trusted him that previous night, and after seeing such dedication to a chick that he had only initially intended to have a sexual relationship with, I trusted him more and more. Most people think it’s a strange transition to go from having a sexual relationship to a committed one (with, nevertheless, fantastic sex on the side), but I thought it was worth a shot. I used to be against that kind of thing, too, but after several failed nonsexually-based relationships, I thought that it might do some good, for a number of reasons. I figured that many guys tell girls they love them so that they CAN get them into bed, and I figured that if he knew that I was going to be a reliable fuck, then if he told me he loved me, I knew it would be honest. And hell, it’s the best relationship I think either one of us has ever been in. 6 years ago
