Sometimes it’s just makes you feel good knowing that you’ve helped a stranger out and then when they smile at you, you know it meant something to them. I hope that if I help someone, they’ll help someone else, and so on.
I gave up my seat on the airplane today so that a couple could sit together. When they went to thank me, I told them that they could return the favor by doing something nice for someone else today. When we got to the airport, I saw the husband reaching for a heavy looking bag from the baggage carosel and place it on a cart of an older lady. I know he didn’t see me, but I heard him say “Someone gave up there seat for us tonight and asked they we help someone else out.” He was grinning from ear to ear and continued by saying, “Now it’s your turn Ma’am”. Maybe I started something with that :)
