A visit to the "Paris" of South America 13 months ago

I’ve read that Buenos Aires is a stunning city featuring architecture comparable to any city you’d find in Western Europe. I’ve also heard that it is surprisingly affordable. I need to see this place for myself!

I have read and heard a lot about this city. I think it would be a great place to visit and maybe even live for a few months teaching english etc. It would be a kick @ss cultural experience!!

Its a stunning, vibrant, bustling, dramatic, urban city! Its is the Paris / London / NYC of South America. I’d go back any day! I love Buenos Aires!

Need any help? 22 months ago

I’ve lived in Buenos Aires all my life, so if there’s anything you would like to know, ask me right away. I know the city really well, and I can assure you, it’s amazing, you just have to know where to go and what to do, but unfortunately tourists are often misinformed. I’m here if there’s anything you need, feel free to ask.

By the way, Buenos Aires is not all about tango, most of the people who live there don’t even care about it. It can be nice but it’s not all there is, just a tiny (really tiny) part.

The city is simply beautiful, but you have to meet the right people. Porteños were just as people had warned, rude, closed and to the point. Making friends is EXTREMELY difficult, even if you are very fluent in Spanish. It is done solely through networking and through others. It was definitely not as gay-friendly as they had mentioned either (not the next gay metropolis in Latin America, for sure!). Try Costa Rica!

    Tour guide? 2 years ago

I’m looking for someone who would be willing to show me around a bit when I’m in Buenos Aires between June and August studying. Any takers?

    Studying Abroad 2 years ago

So I’ll be living in Buenos Aires for 3 months over Summer (yes, I know, their winter) but what are some cultural things to do (not just the norm: visiting La Boca, watching Tango, etc)?

Only a short visit and for business, not pleasure, but still enjoyable. We went up this avenue with lots of shops and lots of street performers and entertainers: mimes, tango dancers, singers, clowns, all sorts of stuff. It was very lively and great fun.

Hi everyone, I’m uploading pictures if the City and some explanation about it so you all get to know the city some more.
It has become very touristic the last couple of years, people from all over the world are coming down here.. why? simple.. things are 3 times cheaper, great food, beautiful places, exelent wines, and because we care about our guests.
That’s all I can offer so far, I’ll be uplading pictures soon.

Take your chance to come and visit!
