Plum and apple 3 years ago

I have a plum tree in the front yard and an apple tree in the back yard. It’s nice. The plums are super, the apples are a bit on the sour side.

Both trees are big enough to climb in.

A friend of my parents gave me a cherry tree for my 14th birthday, but we moved away before it got big enough to have much fruit. I hate that my tree is in somebody elses garden now. One day I should just climb the fence and taste the fruits from my own tree!

I used to have a 12-foot grapefruit tree 3 years ago

Even when the Florida hurricanes stripped my roof of its shingles, my 12-foot grapefruit tree stood proudly in my shattered backyard. Of course, the fruit was mostly stripped away. Nevertheless, that tree faithfully produced season after season, storm after storm. Sometimes I would home can the fruit or make grapefruit juice to hold me through to the next season. It’s just about the only thing from that old house that I miss.

It's so amazing 3 years ago

Like a gift every time. There were apricots and peaches in my yard when I bought the house. We thought they were fruit trees, but didn’t know what kind till they bore fruit. The peach tree fruited the first year. It took the apricot three years because it hadn’t been watered enough for a long time, I think.

We planted our own Granny Smith apple tree a couple of years ago. The knobby little thing gave us 5 tasty apples last fall!

I would take good & PROPER care of them 3 years ago

I couldn’t grow citrus here but apples, plums and peaches should grow well. The trees are expensive but worth every cent when I think about how much I spend on fruit that is shit and nearly void of nutrients at the market. Hopefully by next year this time I will have finished this goal.
