Attend a Beer Festival

A great way to spend an afternoon. And some of the larger ones are family-friendly too. You can make tasting notes.

Folk festivals often have almost as many different beers as beer festivals.

Me and the wife went to the Great American Beer Festival in 2005, it was friggen awesome.

I manned a booth for a friend. It was beautiful weather in Denver.

Oh yes – Swansea 2003. Lots of great beer, music and good times :)

I love beer festivals! The CAMRA ones in the UK are usually pretty good, and you get a free glass as well :-) I’ve never managed to drink my way through the entire beer list though – not sure I’d still be here to tell the tale if I had! Best one I’ve ever been to, because of the location, was at the Fleece in Bretforton, Worcestershire, a couple of years ago – held in the barn but you could still go and sit in the wonderful pub, which hadn’t changed since at least the 1840s, if not earlier.
