I want to work for NPR so bad. Like the other people on this list, I listen to the station a lot—its like a little tiny dose of sanity here in Los Angeles.
One day I hope to be a part of that. And its so much better than the yelling and screaming on most talk radio stations.

NPR is the only radio I listen to. Since I have been in Europe, I download the podcasts of On the Media and listen to it as I walk around town. The program is right up my alley in terms of my area of study, and I would love to work for the program someday.
Alternatively, Ira Glass is an amazing storyteller whom I would also like to call boss. But ultimately, I want his job.

Every time I’m in my car, I’m tuned into the local NPR station, no matter WHERE I’m travelling. Sometimes, I talk as though I were an NPR correspondent in the car (so, yes, I’m that crazy lady you see talking to herself in the car).
I love This American Life, and have actually written to the producers pitching a couple of stories. They actually WROTE BACK (who knew they’d do that?) and encouraged me, but I have yet to get some of the basic recording equipment that I need to make it happen. Still, I know I’ve got great ideas for radio…
Watch this space…gonna figure out how to make this happen!
