"I'm merely Winnipeg-Famous, not internationally. I did a commercial, that's it."

How I did it: I have an agent, who called me about it. I've done billions of auditions in my life, so this was just another one. I didn't get a gut feeling about it. In fact, I didn't do that well. It must've been something that made the producer and director pick me.

Lessons & tips: Be prepared and professional. This is a business, not a recreational thing. Look and "act" the part. Spend money on professional headshots and have a good-looking resume to back it up. In the end, it's your talent and how you sell it.

Resources: The internet, connections, socializing at industry gatherings, studying your craft with books, workshops and education.
