Figure out how to afford college

I’ve realized that I’m going to have to suck it up and get student loans. Not too long ago I was working at a job that I hated where i didn’t make any money, but I didn’t know what else I was supposed to do because around here if you have no skills then your options are limited to cashiering, waitressing, and factories. But I also didn’t want to go into debt for a degree that i wasn’t sure what to do with (I’d like to major in linguistics or women’s studies). So I felt really trapped. Then I ended up getting a job taking care of an old lady, and I love it. So I signed up for a CNA course and plan to work in a nursing home. Some places will pay for you to become an LPN too. So I’ll eventually be making decent money doing something that I like. I know I’ll still feel unfulfilled if I don’t do something more academic though, but at least I can relax now that I feel like I have more freedom.

I’m applying for a rotary scholarship, which, if I get it would send me to study aborad at a country of my choice for a year. It’s exciting, but the thought of having to break up with my boyfriend really hurts. still, I guess I shouldn’t watse time worrying about that until I know if I’ve even gotten it.

I’m going to community college right now, and I can barely afford it. It’s the end of my second semester, and once again I can’t figure out this financial aid thing. I’m retarded when it comes to paperwork. I want to eventually transfer to a regular college but even financial aid won’t cover all of it. I don’t have any wealthy relatives to finance my education so I need to figure out how to do it myself and I’m only a B student.
