I did this at Tauganhook (tuh GAN ik, get it right) Falls State Park, New York. It’s like an hour from my house. The park was nearly empty, so I swam out to the falls. I barely made it back before ranger showed up, and I would’ve been ticketed heavily. Also, Tauganhook is the highest waterfall in the US, so it stung a little bit, but the water flow wasn’t bad. Just do it somewhere where you won’t get caught.
How to shower under a waterfall.
How I did it: I researched places in my area (upstate NY) to find a waterfall. First place I went it was a bunch of shale, no place to stand under the water. Second place there was a ledge to sit on behind the falls and dangle your feet into the waterfall.
Lessons & tips: Research if it's legal to swim there or if people have been hurt there before you jump in (someone had died JUMPING OFF this waterfall. It actually was illegal to swim there - but no cops came around. I felt safe where I was standing, the big dangerous waterfall was further down stream)
Go with friends - One friend helped push me against the water rapids to get onto the ledge, the water was too strong to get up myself. It also makes it more fun!

There are 3 waterfalls along a trail going up a mountain in Jim Thorpe, PA. They are beautiful!! I try to go there at least once a year. The water is cool and refreshing and it’s exciting feeling it coming down on top of you. (This is the waterfall that I plan to complete one of my 43 things under…) :d
On a show called Boomtown, one of the guys had a list of things he wanted to do before he died and showering under a waterfall was one of em… Seems like a really cool thing to do!
